This debut release from North American label Seminal Sounds brings you an instant classic from veteran US producer Rob Terhaar, aka Robby T. Anchored by eery, urban soundscapes and meticulous drums, "850 Hold Up" builds into an enormous break that leaves plenty of room for head bobbing. Pushing further into the abyss, "Orthoptera" is a treat for the old school Jungle massive. Coming off like a lost DAT from 1997, the unmistakable Tech Step sound is completely re-imagined in Rob's obsessive style. An optimistic and cloudy intro leads into ominous acid synths and finally gives way to metallic stepping drums and bass. Finally xy-out is a trek through a digital realm of steadily building licks and more throwback vibes. Fans of 90's jump up will appreciate the modular bass and steadily switching drums on this little banger.
